Investigating Stressing Elongation Deviations
Compare calculated elongation, equipment calibration and site records to investigate deviations.

Start with the same tendon
Match beam and tendon identifiers, actual lengths, stressing ends and staged readings before comparing values.
Compare assumptions with site conditions
Review tendon profile, friction assumptions, strand area, modulus and anchorage seating treatment. Check calibration, pressure conversion, reading sequence and slip records.
Look for patterns
Repeated deviations in similar tendons or sudden changes in staged readings warrant investigation. Follow the project response procedure and notify the responsible engineer when cracking, slip or unusual sounds occur.
Prepare the investigation records
Provide elongation calculations, stressing records, calibration reports, tendon profiles and photographs. Acceptance limits and subsequent operations follow the applicable project standards and approved method.
