Key Checks Before Prestressing Works

Before concrete placement

Check duct alignment, tendon supports, anchorage reinforcement, opening conflicts and grout vents. Protect tendons and ducts from damage by subsequent operations.

Before stressing

Confirm the specified concrete strength, valid equipment calibration, adequate stressing access and an agreed sequence and recording procedure.

Grouting and handover

For bonded systems, check grout materials, equipment, venting and anchorage protection. Retain stressing, grouting, inspection and anomaly-resolution records in accordance with the approved method.
